Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is a country located in Central Africa with an area of 2,345,000 km²; However, this large country with high potential for socio-economic development remains ranked 179th out of 191 on the Human Development Index, and has been facing one of the most complex and severe humanitarian crises in the world for more than two decades, especially in the East.
Across the country, 26.4 million people – or one in four Congolese – are acutely food insecure, despite the country’s impressive agricultural potential. In 2022, the humanitarian situation has not improved much, due to a security situation – the main driver of the crisis – that has armed conflict and gross human rights violations, including sexual violence and grave violations against children, continue to drive millions of people to seek safety far from home: more than 5.7 million people are internally displaced, the highest number in Africa.
Our Children’s program is dedicated to nurturing and empowering the next generation through faith, education, and holistic development. We provide a safe and engaging environment where children can grow spiritually, academically, and socially.

Before joining the program, I struggled to stay in school because my family couldn’t afford school fees. Now, I have everything I need to learn, and I dream of becoming a doctor to help my community!
I used to walk long distances to get water, which made me miss school. Thanks to the clean water project, I have more time to study and play with my friends!
I love coming to the learning center because I get books, food, and teachers who care about me. I feel safe and happy knowing I can go to school every day!
