Our programs
Gender Based Violence
This program aims to create change in the attitudes, behavior, and practices that perpetuate Violence against Women and Girls in DRC. We are committed at mobilizing Communities and Inspiring Activism to prevent and Respond to GBV.
Our approach seeks to transform gender relationships and challenge the way people think about and use their power focusing on programs that integrate social norm change, strengthening the capacity of institutions to change practice so as to create a supportive environment for survivors of violence, with coordinated legal action. We collaborate with duty bearers in key sectors such as the police, health workers, legal officers, judicial officers, prosecutors, schools, community groups, men, and education institutions.
Economic Empowerment
We work with young people to close the unemployment gap in DR CONGO by empowering them to engage in income generating schemes and equipping them with concrete skills to improve their incomes.
We have so far engaged 900 young people in activities like candle making, tailoring, jewelry making, knitting, baking, poultry, goat rearing, and agriculture among others.
These groups were not only given capital to start business but were also equipped with marketing skills.
Through their various activities the groups have registered an increase in their income base and are now able to meet their financial obligations
CHILD CARE
These form the foundational element of our programming in line with Vision 2063.
